Acclaimed by the specialized press as “among the best Grande Champagne” [Planate XO, le Magazine du Cognac, April 1998], the Cognacs François Voyer, which you will find in the finest restaurants in France [Alain Ducasse, Lucas Carton, Laurent .], are essentially the résumé of a family history.
The expert knowledge of the family has been passed from father to son for five generations, where since 1870 the family has sustainably grown Ugni Blanc on 28 hectares of vineyards in Cognacs Premier Cru of Grande Champagne. Paul Andres decision to distill his own wine at the end of the 19th Century, has put Francois Voyer in the enviable position of having vintages of cognac dating back over 70 years.
Eye: Red with hints of rustic gold
Nose: Its old age allows for vanilla and dried fruits (walnut, hazelnut) fragrance mixed with spice and pepper scents
Palate: This Cognac classic has a complex body, with notes of bergamot and orange peel. It is rich and full while being gentle at the same time. It doesn’t have the spiciness of other mature Cognacs that age. Exceptional length on the palate and soft aromas revealing its old age.
